Platform Rules

Last updated: July 8, 2026

This page explains the KerjaOn platform's self-executing rules: wage settlement, cancellation compensation, grievance adjudication and fees. Every number on this page is the platform's live current setting.

  1. 1. Settlement and acceptance

Worked hours are based on GPS check-in/out records; when the merchant taps settle, that counts as acceptance of the day's hours.

    • If a shift is still unsettled 48 hours after it ends and the merchant has no open grievance on it, the system settles it automatically from attendance records and workers are paid as normal.
    • For piece-rate shifts, auto-settlement uses the expected units from publish time unless the merchant has confirmed the actual units within the window.
    • Overtime not approved by the merchant is not counted at settlement.
  2. 2. Cancellation and compensation

If the merchant cancels a published shift within 24 hours before it starts, every confirmed worker automatically receives 50% of their expected wage as compensation, credited straight to their KerjaOn wallet; the rest of the escrow returns to the merchant. Cancelling earlier than 24 hours before the start carries no compensation and the escrow is refunded in full.

  3. 3. Grievances

Both workers and merchants can file a grievance in the app; the statutory internal review window is 30 days (Act 872).

    • An open grievance filed by the merchant on a shift pauses that shift's auto-settlement until the case is handled.
    • Unpaid-wage and rate-change grievances with no follow-up within 7 days are decided automatically from platform records (ledger and attendance records); safety and harassment cases are always handled by humans.
  4. 4. Attendance and credit

A no-show without notice is recorded and lowers the worker's credit score; repeated no-shows can restrict grabbing shifts. Attendance, punctuality and good ratings raise credit and priority.

  5. 5. Fees

The platform charges merchants 20% commission on wages (plus SST where applicable); workers use the platform for free with zero deduction from wages.
