Delete Your Account
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This page explains how to delete your KerjaOn account, what happens during the 30-day grace period, and the data retained for legal reasons, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
1. How to delete your account in the app
Workers and merchants can delete their own account directly in the app:
- Log in to your KerjaOn account.
- Open the Profile page and go to the settings section.
- Choose “Delete account” and confirm with your password or a WhatsApp OTP.
- You will be signed out; the 30-day grace period starts immediately.
2. What must be resolved first
To protect wages and payments, a deletion request is refused while any of these remain:
- Confirmed shifts or unfinished attendance assignments (workers).
- Shifts still open, filled or in progress (merchants).
- Unsettled shift escrow funds.
- A wallet balance that has not been withdrawn.
3. The 30-day grace period
Once your request is accepted, your account enters a 30-day grace period. Logging in again during this period automatically cancels the request and your account stays intact. After 30 days, the account is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
4. What is deleted and what is retained
Deletion permanently removes your personal data: name, phone number, email, username, MyKad/eKYC details and selfie, business details, notification history, and all login credentials. The following records are retained in anonymised form as required by Malaysian financial and employment law:
- Wallet ledger and payment records (financial records).
- Attendance assignments and shift records (employment records).
- Ratings and feedback (platform integrity).
- Audit logs (regulatory requirements).
5. Need help?
If you cannot delete your account in the app, contact the KerjaOn team through the in-app grievance channel and we will process it within 21 days.
